1-Androstenolone and Testosterone
How about a prohormone that you can buy at Walmart? As of this writing
(4/5/2014), a fairly powerful prohormone is on Walmart's web site as "LG Sciences LGS-83039
1-Androstenolone Liquid." From what I have read, 1-Androstenolone
(3b-hydroxy-androst-1-ene-17-one) is actually converted directly into testosterone
with very little effect on estradiol or DHT.
And, according to the company, it is liver safe as well.
So why would a prohormone be sold by Walmart? After all, wasn't the
prohormone 1-Testosterone sold legally and then banned in 2006?
1-Testosterone was determined to be highly androgenic, i.e. had a powerful
effect on male-related properties, and then reclassified as a Schedule III drug.

My guess is that it is simply ignorance. I don't see it, for example, on
Target's or Amazon's web site.
How much will
1-Androstenolone boost testosterone? I could not find even one
half-baked internet story for that matter out there with any numbers.
Furthermore, even the manufacturer is not publishing any direct information as
far as I know. The only information that I could find is that some steroid
forums claim that you would have to consume 500 mg of 1-Androstenolone to get a

If this is true, then this may be why no one the product seems to be off the
radar: 500 mg would be 25 servings! A serving
is only 20 mg and there are 120 servings in the container. Prices
are $40 and $55 and so to take excessive amount would incur a fair amount of
expense. Plus, the company has packaged it with a bunch of other
ingredients, including "glycerol, HPBCD, citric acid, Na Benzoate, Ca EDTA, K
sorbate, N&A flavor, sucralose, ace K, stevia, xanthan gum." So, taking
extra 1-Androstenlogne would mean ingesting things like extra sucralose and ace
K, something most guys aren't really interested in doing. .
However, there are signs that you may not need much to boost your
testosterone: the product is supposed to be taken sublingually.
That's right - this product should get some absorption under the tongue, which
means it should be well-absorbed.
So is it safe to consume a prohormone? In my opinion, it is quite risky
I challenge you to go to pubmed or any authority site and find any useful
information on this compound. Side effects, efficacy, half-life - nothing!
As far as I can tell, the manufacturer is releasing very little information.
"Hi all. I am only 22 years old and have low T. I do have a brief history of taking
prohormones, which I think have had a role in my low T. Anyways, in early april I was taking a product that had Epistane (small dose, but still a prohormone) and that was also an AI. I stopped after about 10 days, because here were my symptoms (and 2 months later, still are my symptoms)
Emotionless. Can't feel any emotions. I used to be very passionate, loving, affectionate, excitable, but now I literally can't feel anything. Zombie like."
"I am extremely tired and can barely make it through the day. It takes everything in my power to workout, and when I do
my heart races and I get light headed easily. My endurance sexually is not very long and
my libido is definitely down. More irritable/impatient
than ever, and frequent anxiety.
I got blood work done in mid april and my total test was 319. LH and FSH were 1. SHBG was 19. I had the tests repeated a month later and total test was 317, LH 2, SHBG 30."

It's one thing to take a supplement like Korean Ginseng or Pycnogenol that has
been through 50+ studies and used widely by many patients. It's still
another thing to take a prohormone like this that has no studies and virtually
no track records with clients and customers. Do you really want to be the
