Ten Health Myths That Will Destroy Your Sex Life
1) A carb is a carb and sugar is a carb. This myth is one of the most
dangerous to your sex life.
Sugar Lowers Testosterone, decreases Nitric
Oxide and accelerates
Advanced Glycation End Products. Fructose, which is
about one half of corn syrup and exactly one half of table sugar, not only
lowers Nitric Oxide but messes with the liver, making us more insulin resistant.
All of these provide needless calories with few nutrients or vitamins, leaving
us fatter and none the wiser. Other than slamming down a six pack, which
will drench your tissues in estrogen, or eating a biggie fry loaded with
LDL-raising, HDL-lowering trans fats, I can't think of a worse single ingredient
for you than table sugar. In fact, I think a great name for table sugar is
Anti-Viagra.
2) Olive Oil is Good For You. Recent evidence has turned this belief
on its head. Yes, it is pro-testosterone, but, unfortunately, it is also
pro-arteriosclerosis and that's very bad for your penis. Read about
The
Rise and Fall of Olive Oil.

Nitric Oxide? Check out the

you how to dramatically and naturally improve your erectile strength.
3) Sex is Bad For You. Okay, we admit that a jealous boyfriend or an woman
spited can very detrimental
to your health.
But the health benefits for sex are clearly there for even semi-healthy, semi-happy
couples. Read here about
How Sex Is Good For You.
4) Food is not powerful enough to help my sex life. Food, the right
kinds of course, and exercise are really the ONLY thing that will help most guys
long term with their sex life. If you want strong erections for the most
number of years possible, you have to carefully pay attention to what you eat.
Plus, few guys know that
Many Foods and Drinks Boost Nitric Oxide, the same
stuff that Viagra works on.
5) Saturated Fat is Good For You. Right now the
Atkins/Paleolithic/Low Carb Diets have the biggest fan base in the web-o-sphere. Unfortunately, all the
Saturated Fat
that comes with these diets is an erection killer. Read this link for more
details about
The Dangers of the Atkins/Paleolithic/Low Carb Diets.
6) Building Mass Quickly is Good For You. Actually, this can be good
for you if it is done right. But that's the key: it is very easy,
especially for us overzealous type A's out there, to injure ourselves. In addition, the extra protein
required for bodybuilding can also get a guy in trouble and quickly lead to the
Land of Heart Disease and Erectile Dysfunction. I document all these in my link
called Muscle Madness.

cause erectile dysfunction or harden your arteries? 300 ng/dl? 400?

Testosterone By The Numbers.
7) Intense Workouts Are Good For You. Of course, a good, hard
workout can be just what the doctor ordered, but most of us guys have a simple
philosophy: "If some is good, then more must be better." We
apply this to sex, eating and sometimes exercise.
Unfortunately, this little pithy saying will not get your very far when it comes
to hitting the gym or the road. Intense workouts, if done incorrectly or
too frequently, can lead to
Overtraining and overtraining can lead to days of
lowered testosterone and impaired immunity. And, no, neither of those are
good for your penis. So leave the killer workouts to the Navy Seals and
guys on steroids.
8) Supplements Are Good For You. Actually, there are a few vitamins
and supplements that are excellent
for your long term health. However, here's what your local health food
store or bodybuilding magazine won't tell you: most supplements, vitamins and minerals
have been a) found to be dangerous to your health, b) have a tight therapeutic
range or c) have little to no benefit. Remember that supplements are no
more natural than drugs. Read here about the
Dangers of
Supplements. My advice: rely almost entirely on food. See my
link on a
Mediterranean Diet or a Low Fat Diet.
9) MSG is harmless and just causes allergies in overly sensitive individuals.
A little sneezing and blowing is the least of your worrries if you consume
monosodium glutamate (MSG). Glutamate is one of the body's
neurotransmitters and MSG consumed in food has a back door to your gonads:
the hypothalamus. Read about
The Grossly Misunderstood Dangers of
Excitoxins.
10) Blood Pressure of 129/89 is normal and healthy. It may be okay to have
40 psi in your 35 psi tires. But that's because you don't have the same
set of tires for 20 or 30 years, eh? Well, blood pressure in the 120's and
80's was a grey area that has now been shown to lead to many problems including
erectile dysfunction. Read this link about
High Blood Pressure for more
details.
