Question for high SHBG guys
« on: April 05, 2017, 05:28:51 am »
I was wanting to know if anyone has tried splitting their weekly dosage and achieved good results? From everything I have read over the years, most of the most knowledgable docs in this field state once weekly injections are normally required to overcome the high shbg. I have only tried a couple times but for only like two weeks, which I know isn't adequate time for the body to adjust. Would just like to get some feedback from someone who's possibly tried this long term. Thanks

I have injected EOD from the start with good results. SHBG was in the low 40s at the start and may have dropped to the upper 20s during treatment.

Why not just try injecting once a week for a few weeks and see how you feel?   How you feel is more important than what labs indicate your injection schedule should look like.

Personally, I feel better on an 6 or 7 day injection schedule than I do trying to do it eod or e3d.

I've been injecting weekly for well over six years and just can't ever seem to get decent libido, obviously doing what I'm doing isn't going to work. I've never had any issues with E2 and all other labs are optimal, so really need to try something different. My shbg is 47-48 no matter if I inject 80,100 or 120mg per week. I feel good at all these dosages but have nonexistent libido. I have tried hcg numerous times anywhere from 100iu mwf to 250iu mwf. within an hour of injecting even 100iu hcg i have crushing fatigue, I mean literally to the point I have to lay down. I am never going to use hcg again. I had a phone consult a while back with Dr Crisler and he was even baffled by my labs and the symptoms I am having. Really don't know where to turn other than maybe doing a more frequent subQ regimen.

Just as an experiment, you could try doing 200 mg a week of test cyp for a few weeks to see if that increases your libido.   If it doesn't, then you know that its nothing to do with testosterone at that point.

You feel pretty well most of the time?

Yes. There's some room for improvement, but things are vastly better than in pre-TRT days.

SHBG as he states 47/48 he's undoutedly got a problem with Free T being low as it's all bound up. Typically SHBG comes down with test use though.

Do you tired of all the injections

With treatment I have experienced serum testosterone levels ranging from 750 to 1,200 ng/dL, but this was always with every-other-day delivery of enanthate. I had decided that even with upper-mid-range starting SHBG I did not want to mess with much weekly variation in testosterone.

In what dosage did you try DHEA? Maybe starting at a very low dose like 5 mg would work?

I also have high SHBG and the main problem I see with it is its high affinity for DHT. I feel like I am getting little androgenicity because of it.
