If you prefer transdermals? Is they are reason why? Also if anyone was on transdermals , did they stop working after a period of time?

It shouldn't stop working if your physician knows what he/she is doing, i.e. has the concentration high enough.

I am into my 7th month of T cream and I am still seeing improvements especially to my sex life so I am well past the oft quoted 3 month honey moon period.

Whilst I am still not at pre low T days level I am slowly getting there. There have however been benefits in other areas of life that are much much better than pre low T days.

I didn't do well with transdermal testosterone (Androgel 1.62); absorption was unreliable and DHT was going too high. A higher testosterone concentration and twice-daily applications would likely have solved the absorption problem but made DHT even higher.

I did well for about 2 years, but then at the same dose that kept me in the 800's I started dropping fairly rapidly for whatever reason.
My first year though did excellent.
Am currently on twice per week injections.

I only notice a difference from gels after accidentally use both Axiron and Androgel together one morning, I experienced a 8 hour honeymoon period where my energy and penile sensitivity were insanely high. When I got to work I was extremely tired and of all of a sudden had explosive energy and mood was incredible, I wonder if I'll ever feel like that again...

ghce, your testosterone & DHT from your March blood test were extremely high. I'm surprised your doctor didn't tell you to reduce the dose. Are your numbers still that high?

Absorption efficiency can drop pretty quickly with transdermals, especially with low-concentration gels, it seems. A possible explanation for the rest is the difference in DHT. With gel I had DHT go up by 50%, but testosterone tanked. On injections, and with healthy testosterone, my DHT recently tested just below range. The solution for some is injections with small amounts of testosterone cream on the scrotum.

Yes thankfully my numbers are still at the top end or "over range" and yes my MD did try to reduce my dose to 1/5th with out any consultation whatsoever, so he has had his chance and I haven't gone back to him, the arrogance of the medical profession astounds me.
