What to get tested?
« on: August 06, 2017, 07:40:39 am »
Other than T and E what would you guys request to get tested after feeling like crap for 6 months?
I've had a sleep study done which I knew wasn't going to be the issue.
I need to get to the bottom of this.  It's been horrible and it's getting harder to carry on everyday grind.
Symptoms are extreme fatigue and depression.  I sleep so deep that I don't even have dreams anymore.   Nighttime wood is pretty much gone.
Always thought it was from low Estrogen but that been back to mid 30s for at least a month.  Could it still be that?  I'm not thinking it's that anymore.
I'm gonna propose to my dr to dig deeper and figure this out.  Life is passing by.
Thanks as usual.

Something like this would be a good place to start........
I personally would probably have a complete thyroid panel added in as well.

I know bud but it's been a long time.   Doesn't make sense.  Some guys take 12.5 eod.  I know they take steroids dosages but this should have normalized by now.  I don't know what else it could be but it ain't happening.
How are you doing currently.  Hopefully better.   I could use some optimism.

Be sure to pull LH. Often that drops to zero and this in turn can lead to progesterone and cortisol dropping as well. It happened to me.

isn't LH surpressed anyway after 6 years?
anyway, my general practioners are going to refer me to a endo or hormone specialst because they don't know where to go with this.  they are letting me choose where and what my insurance covers.  still trying to figure that out but have contacted UW Madison Urology/trt center.
thanks Anton for the reassurance of feeling better eventually.  that helps.  I figure if I have an opportunity in a university or specialist setting I should go for that as well.
thanks

Secondary guys usually have quite low LH.  But then when they go on TRT it drops to zero I believe after about six months.  Of course that assumes they are on a TRT protocol that actually boosts their TRT significantly.
