Title: Neo40
Post by: AllOut on December 19, 2011, 09:03:19 pm
I was wondering if you've heard of Neo40 Daily and if you have any opinions about it?

I've actually given some coverage to Neo40 and to the researcher (Nathan Bryan) behind it on my site. Dr. Bryan is the real deal and is one of the top researchers in the world on the subject, so

How well does it work?  My guess is that it works about as well as other erectile supplements such as Ginseng and Pynogenol - maybe even a little better for some middle-aged and beyond men. One person at Neogenis said that it, informally, lowered blood pressure quite substantially, so that's a very good sign that it is significantly increasing nitric oxide.

However, I still have not received any direct feedback from readers on it.  So, if you try it, please let me know what you think.  (Also, I wish that Dr. Bryan listed all ingredients in Neo40.)

Here are the links where I've got some additional information on the subject:

Great - let us know.  One comment:  I recommend getting it cleared through your doc particularly if you are on any meds.  Blood pressure meds can be a little tricky...

just a quick update,  i have rec'd the product.  i have been on it for 10 days.  i have started to see a little difference in my erections.  i got an erection for the first time without viagra after 5 days on Neo40.  i have a Dr appointment on Jan 16 to ck my bloodpressure and see if it is any better.  on Jan 16, i will have been on the NEO40 for 24 days.  i will keep you updated.   :)

Great - thx.  Let us know.

I'm sure you know this, but it's very important to get your pressure to 120/80 or below if at all possible.  Here are 30+ ways to do this:

Always discuss any change with your doc first of course...

just a quick update.  i went to the Dr yesterday.  my blood pressure was 129 over 86.  so not bad but still a ways to go.  i have been on the NEO40 for almost a month now.  i can't say i feel much differecnt however i do have more energy in the gym and my workouts do seem to be a little better as for as pumps.  i am going to try this for 3 more months before giving it a rating.  at that time i will go ck my blood pressure again and see if anything changes :)

Okay, so you think it made a small change (although there are many things that can change blood pressure of course)?

We don't seem to be able to buy Neo40 in the UK, or at least I don't see it advertised on any site. It does strike me though that Nathan Bryan gives us plenty of clues as to what might be in Neo40, and it wouldn't surprise me if the ingredients list covers most of the active ingredients- I'm guessing citrulline is the top ingredient. I would even posit that his reticence in revealing all centres around the fact that he has no additional mystery X factor ingredient. Of course success could all be in the blend of ingredients.

As he points out Neo40 could work synergistically with other compounds known to enhance sexual function. I note that one of the potential pathways that ginseng assists is in the release of acetylcholine, which ties in with the waking spine-penis erections connection. Of the studies I found when putting ginseng and acetylcholine into the Pub Med website search engine this was the most interesting:

"Effect of SA1, a herbal formulation, on sexual behavior and penile erection".

"There was an overall increase in the copulatory behavior parameters in the SA1-treated rats, which was reflected by a decrease in the mount and intromission latencies and an increase in the ejaculation latency and mount frequency. SA1 significantly increased the ratio of the intracavernous pressure to mean arterial pressure. In vitro, SA1 significantly enhanced the relaxation responses to acetylcholine. These results suggest that SA1 improves the sexual activity and erectile function".

Here are the ingredients in SA1 Korean Red Ginseng, soybean, Tribulus terrestris, Fructus Rubi, Fructus Lycii, Semen Cuscutae, Dioscorea Rhizome, Fructus Corni and Fructus Crataegi)

Now here is the interesting connection from my point of view. My Chinese TCM doctor when I suggested we go down the spine with acupuncture said if that was the case then I needed a change of pill and dispensed the following herbal combination Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan- and the ingredients?

"Fructus Lycii, Semen Cuscutae, Fructus Rubi, Semen Plantaginis, Fructus Shisandrae Chinensis"

The other herbal mix he gave me is called Yao Zhui Bi Tong Wan and it contains 11 herbs including "Fructus Lycii". That basically covers alot of the berbs in SA1 except for Soybean, Ginseng, Tribulus terrestris, Dioscorea Rhizome and Fructus Crategi". 4 out of 9 is more than a coincidence. Of course Tribulus Terrestris is already a well known testosterone "stimulant".

Now I have only had 3 sessions on the new "meridian" and I have been very lax in taking the full dose of pills- mainly because the alternative pills never worked in the past- but this research  will encourage me to give it fuller attention. However I look forward tentatively to an "increase in ejaculation latency and mount frequency". Particularly the mount frequency part :)

I doubt that he's putting things like Ginseng or L-Citrulline into it simply because too much product would be required.  For example, he directly mentions in the interview I had with him that he puts "nitrosation inhibitors" in Neo40:

"There is some evidence in the literature about nitrite and/or nitrate reacting with amines to form nitrosamines, some of which are considered carcinogens. The design and formulation of Neo40 as a dietary supplement is such that the chemistry is directed towards NO production and away from nitrosative chemistry. In fact, there are a number of nitrosation inhibitors in the Neo40. We do recommend taking Neo40 on an empty stomach to prevent any unwanted reactions or scavenging of NO by indigested stomach contents."

He may even have other proprietary ingredients to tweak Neo40 - we just don't know.

I wasn't suggesting he put Ginseng in it. You mention Ginseng at the bottom of your interview and I was adding to that comment. As for the Citrulline he mentions that in a Youtube video, @ 2min 07 secs. Plus if you look at the ingredients list on the neogenis website it is clearly highlighted as l- citrulline But ironically he does seem to pack a lot into one lozenge- hawthorn, our old friend magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin B12, beetroot and a proprietary blend of herbs.

Anyway you will note from the video he is not a fan of arginine. Certainly he has convinced me to give citrulline a try in the absence of his own product in the UK.

Gotcha.  I stand corrected and thx for passing along the info...
