Title: Should I Restart My Own Testosterone Production?
Post by: tomahawk on March 29, 2015, 07:29:43 am
Guys, I went from Reandron 1000 to Testosterone Cypionate because I got bloods done after 8 weeks on Reandron and my T had gone right back down to 9.8 and E2 was 181, which was triple my baseline of 60.
I wanted to try a shorter chain ester, doing smaller amounts, more often to stop the rollercoaster (weeks 8-12 on Reandron are hell).

About 3 weeks ago when I was taught to self-inject Test Cyp, we agreed on 50mg per week SubQ.
After that first injection, I didn't sleep for 2 nights and barely got to sleep on the 3rd and for the first time I got blood pressure related headaches as my blood pressure spiked 10-15 points - it was already around 140/90, and in bed at night I took a reading of 162/95!
So, I decided to split my injection to 25mg twice a week. My blood pressure still has not come down, so I am wanting to stop TRT.

My doctor gave me the option to go back on Reandron and come in every 6 weeks for a shot, instead of 12.
I am a hypermetaboliser/hyperexcreter and have low SHBG, it was 12, now 16.
I worry about the waves of E2 that flood over me. I had gyno before starting TRT.

I would like to commit 3 months to No Testosterone at all and to get super serious on Exercise and Diet.
Losing 15-20kg would be great!

other stuff in the mix:
Adrenal Fatigue, Metabolic Syndrome, weight: 100kg, height 6'1" BMI 29, So Overweight, E.D. - I think the last time I had morning wood 10-15 years ago!
I also noticed how Exogenous T has put excess load on my veins.
I have varicose veins in my foot since starting T and I got a duplex ultrasound and I have 2 incompetent perforators in my right leg.

How long does it take to restart cold turkey?
Do you recommend with HCG or Clomid to kickstart? what protocols are there?

I am still tempted to do an HCG stimulation test, because 2 doctors have said I am primary, I just wonder how primary... but I am scared a bit because a lot of reading I've done says that HCG is quite Estrogenic!
I'm already Estrogen dominant!!

2 other questions:
-can someone post an HCG stimulation test protocol?
-when doing an HCG stimulation test, do you take an AI?

A few comments:

--Get that HCG stim test to see if you are primary, especially if your docs think you are.  There is no point in trying to restart if you are primary of course.

--Here is some info on restarting:

--Also, I think I've mentioned this, but losing that much weight may restart your production (if you are not primary).

Davie talked about the stim test here with Dr. Shippen:

Can you ask the diet, reverse diabetes, heal endothelium q on the Erectile/Heart board?  Thx...
