I agree!  It's bizzare!
I suspect the Clomid is doing "something" more than advertised!

Yeah, although I'm not getting the morning wood like I did the 1st 10 days on Clomid.
It has made my orgasm "feel" 3-400% better (literally!!)
It's also increased the volume by that percentage also!

These are good side effects I don't really want to abandon by going off Clomid.
Thinking about staying on it if/when I go back to implants just to see what happens.

You can't,  hematocrit is the percentage

It's been my experience that injections Raise RBC faster than the cream. ALOT faster!
I was having phlebotomies every 3 weeks on injections vs. every 2-3 months on cream. I haven't figured out a frequency on pellets, but it's better than injections that's for sure!

Be CAREFUL with your Iron intake, that's the fuel for making RBC.
My Iron is crashed on purpose to control RBC production.  A less than knowledgeable Dr. Put me on iron supplements which skyrocketed  my RBC!  After that little stunt I had (2) phlebotomies weekly for a month to get my hematocrit normal.

My RBC's are always high, it the percentage (hematocrit) that dr's are concerned about.
Ideally needs to be under 50.

I wanted to give this protocol a few weeks.
But after 10 "GREAT" days..  I'm pretty miserable
At the moment

Don't know how much longer I can hold out....
HCG doesn't appear to help, as I feel pretty freaking bad!
Only had (2) HCG injections and was hoping to give it at least a month but I really
Don't think I can hold out much longer

I have yet to find a good answer to this.
From what I have read (mainly from this site), this is my thought:
Take a low dose of Clomid, 12.5mg daily which would hopefully avoid any side effects and keep the pituitary pumping out LH.
Take a low dose of HCG 300-500iu twice a week which would avoid over stimulation but should increase T (if secondary).
I think I read that HCG can shut off LH from the pituitary, so the Clomid would keep LH flowing.
A small dose of Arimidex may be needed also.
I have yet to find any studies or doctors using this theory so maybe there is a major flaw in my thinking.

Maybe some of the other guys can comment, but I haven't usually seen men taking both Clomid and HCG.  Assuming the Clomid is working, it seems somewhat redundant and so I'd guess that is why.  And, yes, some guys don't get much of a boost from  Clomid and still others find that its effects die off.

And, yes, I've read that it will lower LH and sometimes FSH.  Supposedly, HCG Monotherapy is pretty good at preserving fertility, but talk to a fertility specialist to make sure.  I have read that FSH can go down and I know some men struggling with fertility have to add HMG.

Another thing you can do is poke around here and see what is working for infertile guys.  I'm not saying you're dying to have kids, but what you are trying to do is similar to what they are trying to do.  I'd look around but don't have time right now:

Let me know if you find anything...

Well my dr just added HCG to me this week (along with the Clomid I've been on for a month).  It turns out Clomid did NOT raise my T or LH at all (T-185  LH-.1)
But I've had other benefits using Clomid so I did not want to discontinue.
We're hoping the HCG will pull my T out of the gutter.  If it doesn't work, it's back to implants.....

I'm on 25mg daily.

I have about ZERO faith in any pharmaceutical medication doing any good!
So I just can't buy the "placebo effect". Neither can my daily morning wood (which I NEVER had with any other TRT method.

This is just bizzare.....I simply would rather not stop taking this if possible...
But a higher T level and maybe SOME libido would be nice!!

After 2 weeks on Clomid I've never felt better!
Muscle aches, Brian fog, ED issues all MUCH better.

The only complaint I can give my dr is my libido is extremely low.
(Like non existent) but morning wood is MUCH better.....

Now the disturbing part: test results

T 182.    240-1048
FSH .5     1.6-11.0
LH .1     1.3-7.2
Estrogen 28.5     0-40

What the hell gives??
I should be miserable on these #'s!!
What could Clomid be doing to make me "feel this good"?
I was expecting a high LH on Clomid...... WTF??

I'm on 25mg daily
I discussed vision side effects with dr.
He says that it is NOT permanent.
And cutting dosage seems to do the trick if it happens.

Not a chemist, have no clue what a zuclomiphene isomer is??

I'm praying these good results last!
I'm on 25mg daily.

I've been on TRT for years, will definately keep an eye on my estrogen and RBC count
But new doc says he doesn't expect those issues. It's only been like 10 days, gonna get checked in another week or 2 just to see what's happening.

Unbelievable results so far!!
(I'm a bit worried my T is too high, as I've never felt even close to this good before)

Just curious if anyone has and idea of what Clomid is doing
That T injections aren't

I'll make this as brief as possible.

Been in TRT for 4-5 years, started with creams/gels.
They didn't raise me much...(about 100 pts)

Started IM injections w/HCG 2x week (with an anastrozole to control E2)
This caused a big issue with estrogen elevation, polycythemia (which led to monthly phlebotomies) and the beloved Cystic acne!!

Moved on to pellets, which up until a couple weeks ago was by far the best option
Polycythemia was slower,
Come to find out my body eats through the pellets in a month as opposed to the 3 months they as supposed to last. (But I definately felt a little better on this method than the others.

None of these methods above produced satisfactory results sexually.  No consistent morning erections, just seemed like a constant struggle, I would read all these success stories and frankly not believe them much as they are quite an opposite reaction from what I was expierencing....

Enter new Dr.
Takes one look at my boys and says you would be an excellent candidate for clomid???
Dr said it may take a while to the boys working again but I should see better results soon, with NO polycethmia issues (no phlebotomies)  no estrogen issues (no AI drugs)
These 2 things alone may not sound like a big deal, but they are a big time commitment.

Day 1 Clomid......within hours I "feel" something happening  can't elaborate but it felt kind of "right"

Next day I wake up with morning wood, I mean serious morning wood that I haven't noticed for decades!  For the 1st time in many years I felt ALOT better physically, mentally and sexually...

Today...approx 10 days since starting Clomid and I feel MUCH better all around!!
Morning wood every morning, EVERY MORNING.  Depression nearly gone..
Just overall a 100% improvement! In symptoms.  The feeling I get from using Clomid is
NOTHING like other trt treatments above.

Can Peak or anyone tell me what why or what could be happening?
What is Clomid doing for me that other testosterone replacement options aren't??
There is more than just testosterone going on here....

Don't have any labs yet after starting Clomid.
I just shocked more people aren't using this??

SO for whatever reason this time around I have gotten a visual side effect from clomid 10 mg. Very very low dose using 3x a week.

At first I thought I got floaters but still took it cause I felt like maybe the floaters were there before but now I got this new visual shimmering side effect.

Its awful and outside its not that bad but when inside I feel like im tripping on drugs. Stuff is constantly flickering/shimmering and I am getting very anxious about all this. Wtf is going on?!?! When I look at a door or wall I see it mildly shimmering. Even my jeans seem all grainy. I see stuff moving in my peripheral vision and then when I look at it it stops.

i hope this clomid HPPD won't last forever. Its sorta a mild version of visual snow.

Ridiculous and im so intensely anxious from this. Idk how I got all this now when I have used clomid before with no issues.

I would promptly talk to your doctor about getting the fuck off this medication with his recommendation.  What goes up must come down, so you should be okay with regard to these symptoms.

On another note, I forgot you were on clomid this time around when you posted those cortisol levels.  Man, this is weird stuff.  It might be the case that you're still getting a whole lotta LH and FSH, leading to overconversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone.

Yea contacted my psychiatrist who told me it shouldn't be permanant and I am getting off of it. This is insane though I get visual sides on a medication that I have used twice prior with no problems?! Its also such a lose dose 12.5 mg 3x a week for 2 weeks then down to 10 mg 3x a week but now im just stopping cause of the visuals.

i certainly hope its all reversible and in the mean time I will try to just treat this as some mild tripping and enjoy the visuals rather than panicking.

Makes me wonder wtf this Clomid thing does in the brain. Is it messing with the visual cortex somehow?!

Just started Clomid a couple weeks ago 25mg daily.
While I don't have any side effects (visual or otherwise)
I did bring this up to my Dr. And his response was.
I have a lot of "younger" patients on Clomid and the reason some people get visual disturbances is due to the fact Clomid stimulates the hypothalamus and can cause it to swell slightly. The optic nerve runs right through the hypothalamus.  There for some people can get visual disturbances.  Dropping dosage usually takes care of it.

I feel pretty freaking good right now.
It would have to be a pretty bad disturbance to get me off this!!
