I had one many years ago and had zero problems.  In fact, my sex life improved knowing 1) I wasn't going to impregnate her and 2) didn't need to wear condoms or take other precautions.

I would agree 100% that those 2 things alone make it worth it.

I have a friend who wife is on try, and it sent her lebido through the roof. That's all I know about the subject.   I think she's in the pellets too.

I had one 4 yrs ago and love that I don't have to worry about it.  I had low t before that but no one would work with me on it. My t went even lower, to 102 but that was 2 yrs after the vasectomy so I'm not sure my vasectomy ever had anything to do with my low t.

As far as getting it done, do as the dr says and don't do anything physical. Sit on the couch for 3 days, drink beer, and use it as an excuse to not lift a finger.  I work with a few guys that had problems afterwards but that was b/c they went and worked out the next day!  Dont do anything but rest.

I have a Quest lab very close to me and would like to go there instead of driving to Labcorp. I'm looking for a good site to order Quest labs from.  Can anyone recommend one?  Thanks

Health Tests Direct has a Quest option and good prices:

Does quest take insurance?

In order to use your health insurance when using Quest (or any other lab), you'll need to have a lab requisition written by your doctor.

Blood testing labs don't deal directly with the patient and their insurance agencies...meaning, you can't just order/purchase bloodwork from the folks at Quest Diagnostics.  By law, a doctor must write the lab requisition.

With these "3rd party" companies like HealthTestsDirect, LabsMD, DiscountedLabs, etc, you pay out of pocket (at a discounted price) for whatever tests you'd like.  Then one of their doctors signs the lab requisition, making it perfectly legal.  Insurance does not cover these transactions though.

good info, thanks

Guys I am confused. Before I started trt my t was 429 and second time 356. On t the total has been 798, 517 and now 597 on the same dose. My estradiol before t was 52, 58 and on arimidex 45, 38, and now 36.
When I was taking only 1/4 of AI on Mondays and Fridays it was 45 and 38. On AI on M, W, F at .5 each time it is only 38 and no significant drop. Does this mean I need to up the Arimidex so my t can go up?
At the same time my t was 798 before with E2 at 45 so how can 597 be at 36 with E2?
First question is this the sensitive test or standard?
Standard

I've only ever had the standard as well, and my levels have been anywhere from 38-48.  From what I understand, the standard essay should or will show a higher number than the sensitive.

Are you having symptoms of high e2?  B/c if not, why take an AI at all?

Your SBHG is around where mine usually is, in the 18-26 range.  Someone mentioned to me recently on this forum that's actually not all that low, but it shows on the lower end range on my labs too.

Your'e definitely on the right track getting the sensitive e2 test done.  Do you have any other symptoms other than puffiness and sensitivity?  B/c if that e2 reading was not the sensitive, then your e2 could be lower and in range on the sensitive test.

As far as getting to 800, you may feel better, maybe not, b/c depending on your weight, you could aromatize more t in to e2 and might start having more e2 symptoms.

Also, be very careful with an AI, I would almost put that off until you get high e2 symptoms, but that's just me.  I've crashed my e2, and it was brutal, I'm very sensitive to an AI and it didn't take much at all to crash my e2.

Many other guys on here a lot smarter than me on this, but sounds like you're on a good protocol and have a good start and handle on this.

I think it was CanMan that had a post on this within the past 2 weeks or so.

Oh, one other thing -- since dropping the Adex, I have gained weight.  Easily 5 pounds.  Is that an Adex thing or just me hitting the fresh whole grain bread too often?

Maybe water retention with higher E?

I bought some about a week ago.  I've used them twice, both times it said my levels were depleted.  I've read someone else on here that used them recently after taking NEO40 and increasing NO enriched foods and if I recall the strips still showed they were low.

Thanks for the response and help , I will get my own labs done.  Clomid definitly has it's ups and downs, sometimes I feel great, others I feel like I did when my T was 102.

Something else that I find odd, I've lost about 10lbs (5% total weight) in the past 2 months and have not been working out, or even really watching what I eat.  I tend to drink more beer in the summer too, not a lot but more so b/c outside more, pool etc..  I never fluctuate more than a few pounds, and when I work out, HIT cardio, I never loose weight, I will loose inches but not weight.

I'm wondering if the weight loss and anxiety could have something to due with thyroid.  Any thoughts?

Thanks for sharing. My T jumped from 246 to 1194 after 2 months on 50mg Clomid every other day. Endocrinologist suggests that I do a pituitary MRI to cross out a tumor as a possible culprit.

That's impressive. How long have you been on it and howdo you feel.  Any estrogenic side effects?

I searched around the threads but wanted to get some thoughts on this. I've been on clomid for 2 yrs. right now 25mg eod. Clomid has worked for me, but it's not been perfect however it gets my t in the 550-700 range. I started out 2 years ago at total t of 102.

For about the past 3 weeks. I've had bad anxiety, depression, and just overall doom and gloom. Lebido or desire is gone away but can still get an erection no problem. Just not thinking about sex as much.

I'm getting labs done soon but my question is are these symptoms of low t , high e or something else. I hear people say clomid can stop working at some point and wondering if that's what is going on.

I can't get my pc dr. Or urologist to run a sensitive e2 test, they act like they either can't' or it's not important. I'm thinking if going to lab corp and just getting it done myself. In the past my e2 has always been in the upper 40's. I've tried ai's and felt they have worked but I've also crashed my e before so I'm very weary of taking ai's.

MY SHGB is always in the 18-26 range, on the low side but still in range.  What would be considered low?
