Surely T's effects on brain and sexual function are realized through its metabolites (E, DHT)? So what is T itself (not E, DHT) responsible for? Muscle building? Strength? Fat burning?

Guys,
In my desperation to resolve this ED issue , i am desperate to join clinical trials   in UK,  but there doesnt seem to be much going on.Has anyone tried any clinical trials or been involved or  how to join one soon.I have called a few companies but they only keen to keep your details for future trials.
Any thoughts anyone ?

Have you tried cialis or viagra? The new drug in a clinical trial might not work or you might just be given a placebo.

Besides testosterone and estradiol, what other hormones are associated with libido in men?

My libido is very low even though my T levels are normal-high and E2 is around 30.

DHT most certainly and possibly progesterone too although that one, if high, can also kill libido/erections.

Iím 4 weeks into my TRT with Propionate 20mg daily, I donít feel much of an effect after injection, however many hours later I feel a strong sense of calm in my head, is this normal? Is this the Ester being broken down & releasing the hormone? I have experienced this sensation a few times now

Its probably excess estrogen stimulating neurotransmitters like serotonin. It was nice except that it led to low libido. It stimulated the brains aromatase enzyme to such a degree that high dose AI was needed and before this I was the type of person that even a fraction of Aromasin or Letrozole would swell my eyes and cause real low mood.

Hello all, I have good prolactin but it's hard to ejeculate, even after 30min hard to ejeculate and have low libido, what can cause this? My testosterone at max normal, SHBG very low 14, E2 at middle norms
How old are you?  it is possible that you are expecting too much from your body.  Even as a teenager I needed at least an hour in between orgasms.  I can't recall ever seeing what normal refractory periods for each age group is.  You have pretty high expectations.  Note, I am not critiquing, you are free to want what you want.

I don't think he is talking about time between two orgasms but simply delayed orgasm and low libido. The symptoms you get by taking SSRI's

Newbie with a quick question.

Any opinions on switching to SubQ  1ml (200mg test-cyp+1mg anastazole)? I am given preloaded syringes from pharmacy, so I cant split my dosing to 2Xs week.

Ive tried searching for info, not much is talked about such a lage dose 1Xs week.

THANKS!

Why can't you split dosing to twice a week? Just inject half of it once, keep the syringe capped of course and inject the remaining half next time?
if you are not sure and fear that you may inject more/less than half, just buy some new syringes and backfill them?

So I know there is no need to do a blood-check.....but I would need to do a needle swap after dosing with half right? I dont me nd losing a little of the dose I suppose, are the needles all same thread pattern or are ther differneces.

I often reuse the same insulin syringe (needle included) two or even three times. I just thoroughly clean the needle with an alcohol swab each time so if I were you I wouldn't bother about changing needles. However, if you are not comfortable with that just get another syringe and fill half of it and you can use both for one week.

Cream kicks in very rapidly, when I first started using it less than 20 seconds later and I was buzzing! not so much a year later on however.
Another thing I have noted in recent times is that it has taken almost a year for my body to completely heal from the low T years.

The last thing to come right is sexual stamina and libido, I am now at a point where I can start to say that my sexual satisfaction and performance is almost on a par with the onset of low T, whilst my T has been supra physiological all year, sexual performance was still sub par till about the 11th month.

Like any of the Hormone related treatments they arn't all a 100% cure as the body is an extremely complex feedback system and 1+1 very rarely equals 2 and I have found that you need to work quite hard to try different supplements and techniques to try and approximate the body natural processes.

Is the cream pure testosterone or does it have an ester like injections?

I have no personal experience, but have done some reading on this.  Experiences with Sermorelin alone seem mixed.  Supposedly you will get better results, when combined with GHRP-2 or GHRP-6.  Were those offered as well?  I notice that Empower pharmacy offers a blend of all three:  https://www.empowerpharmacy.com/drugs/ghrp-2-ghrp-6-sermorelin-acetate-injection.html

An anti-aging clinic in my state offers one of these blends -- the price tag was something ridiculous, like $5,000 per year.  Bodybuilders buy this stuff from "peptide" and "research chemical" websites -- with good prices, if you have the stomach for injecting something sold "for non-clinical research only."

With my blood tests, I am sort of in the same boat... my IGF-1 is not exactly low (consistently around 215).  I believe that Dr. Saya has said that levels over 150 indicate that there is probably not a problem.  On the other hand, I have obvious signs that my growth hormone has taken a hit recently -- more belly fat, poor skin, knees hurt after every workout.  Growth hormone is also supposed to give a general boost to "sense of wellbeing," so I am wondering if some of my lingering mood issues may be related also.
I'm only aware of one study that CLAIMED this synergistic effect of Sermorelin/GHRP.

...then there's that study claiming 100mcg of GHRP-6 saturates receptors. I have not seen that in clinical practice.

Scant little data to go on,

What is your preferred approach to raising growth hormone?

Intermittent Fasting ??

Hi,

I went through an extremely stressful couple of months and during this period I've completely lost my sex drive and libido. Couldn't get hard and felt completely numb down there.

I decided to make life changes and cut the stress as much as possible from my life. My Total T level doesn't look bad on paper but I don't feel any better regarding to sexual symptoms. My libido and erection are still trash and far from what they used to be. My recent labs are attached:

Total T: 647.8 ng/dL(264.0-916.0)
Free T: 10.8 pg/mL (8.7-25.1)
LH: 8.2  mUI/mL (1.7-9.6)
FSH: 3.9 mUI/mL (1.5-12.4)
SHGB: 37.8 mol/L (16.5-55.9)
Estradiol (sensitive): 31.5 pg/mL (8.0 - 35.0)
Cortisol AM 10.7 ug/dL (6.2-19.4)
Prolactin: 14.2 ng/mL (4.0 - 15.2)
Vitamin D: 29.0 ng/mL (30.0 - 100.0)
DHEA-Sulfate: 203.4 ug/dL (138.5-475.2)
DHT: 67 ng/dL (30-85)
IGF-1: 265 ng/mL (88-246)
TSH: 1.26 uIU/mL (0.45-4.5)
T4, Free: 1.45 ng/dL (0.82-1.77)
T3, Free: 3.8 pg/mL (2.0-4.4)

Does it seem that my issue are hormone related or should I search somewhere else?

Your Estradiol and Prolactin are on the high end. I suspect these can be contributing towards your low libido.

Iíve read that women cry, on average, 3 to 5 times more often than men. So my simple question is: Is that difference all down to Testosterone? How often did you cry pre vs. post TRT?

Not TRT itself but AI's make me cry specially Aromasin. Any thing that lowers estrogen or progesterone too much. Just yesterday I took a tiny tiny piece of Aromasin thinking that the clomid had raised my estrogen and I'm miserable for the last 20 hrs. Tearful, barely want to talk to anyone cursing myself for taking that.

If you look at this study on the libido enhancing effects of Allium Tubersome (ATB) they compared it against Viagra. Only the highest doses of ATB come close to Viagras effect on T/FSH/DHT.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5709831/

So how does V raise T?

28
The testicles are shrinking because they are not getting the LH and FSH they are used to, as your own system is inhibited by the TRT.

You can replace the LH with its mimic, HCG. I start my guys at 100iu, SQ, per day. Second best is 200iu, every other day. Third best is 300iu every third day. It's a lifestyle decision.

Many guys just do 500iu, twice per week.

Response is variable.

I have always wondered which dose is just as potent as your healthy levels of LH when you were 20?

One thing I noticed while I was on this med is that my testicle size increased visibly. Could this be because dormant leydig/sertoli cells came to life when LH secretion was increased? If so, will they return to their atrophied state after discontinuation? Please note that my LH levels were NOT too low even before the usage of the med. It was at 5-6.5 with a T level ranging from 280-350. On the med, my lh level bumped up to 11, and miles testosterone shot up to a staggering 732. So if my LH levels returned to 5-6 now, would my testosterone again fall back to the 200-300s? Or is it possible that the kickstarted and enlarged testicles will retain the increased level of activity?

Well, I guess it's possible you got a restart if the above was true.  But, obviously, the odds of doing that with a pretty random and unintended protocol are pretty slim.  But, hey, you never know I guess.  That's what you're asking right?

And, yeah, the increase in LH would indicate a SERM.

Why wouldn't an AI be able to increase LH and if not how would it increase T?

how about T synthesis? Is there any study about vitamin C for testosterone?
