Something scary just happened, memory loss with from low t?

Im currently withdrawing from testosterone at the moment. Im on my 4th week due to my new doctor wanting to do testing. Long story short, my wife and we're currently at a wedding and she asked me if I remembered when our friend lived with us for 5 months. I looked at her and said no. This was a few years ago that she lived with us but I have no memory of this at all. Honestly it brought tears to my eyes because I honestly have no memory of this. I'm only 28 but Alzheimer's does run heavy in my family at a young age. Not 28 young but late 60s young. Can low t cause this?

I believe so.  I work in service industry and go to 6-7 people's homes every day. I have to admit I don't always remember what I did at the house after I leave. Pretty scary feeling and it comes from low t in my opinion.

It was very scary. This is the first time something like this has hapened. I'm usually forgetful or scatter brained but never to the point where I have absolutely no memory of something that took place for 5 months of my life.

im 26 with low t.. i do bar tending gigs.. often times when someone orders a drink from me, by the time im done making it about a minute later, i forgot who ordered it and i gotta put it up on the table just to have the right person come and pick it up..

so yea.. memory can get fucked..

Yes there are srudies linking testosterome and memory.  However they are variable in some ways

#1 thing: dont panic!  Seriously, just let it go.  Many things can do that from sleep disorders to stress to certain medications.  Can I ask if you are taking any medications

I'm currently taking 1mg of Xanax on occasion for anxiety, and doxipen nightly for anxiety. Both of which I've taking in the past.

I believe this has been addressed on another thread, but apparently long-term doxipen use can be a problem for cognition and memory (connections to dementia/Alzheimer's Disease):

And, of course, talk to your doctor about it.  I think we all have a moment where we can't remember something and panic.  But, if it's more than that, double check with a pro.
