I am going thru the process of starting with Defy.  They are getting my physical and I will be completing the labs.  My question is how easily do they work with insurance? I know they charge a reasonable fee for this. My insurance has some medication for thyroid that I take, levothyroxine, that is on their list of medications that is not subject to a deductible and very inexpensive - around $4.00 per month.  If I got this from Defy without insurance it would cost so much more. In this case would Defy doctors write a prescription for me so that I can keep my costs down and focus on their TRT expertise and reasonable medication costs?   Any experience on this would be appreciated.

Yes, this is an option and I/we can supply you with an RX. Now whether or not levothyroxine is actually the best treatment for your thyroid issue is another topic of discussion to be had during consult.

Defy comes to you.  You don't go to them.  All is done via phone consultations.  They are licensed in all 50 states for this according to my understanding.
THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE BOOK ON TRT/TESTOSTERONE:
https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Versus-Testosterone-Therapy-Myer/dp/1523210532/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499116128&sr=8-1&keywords=natural+versus+testosterone+therapy
And check out my New Peak Testosterone Program: http://www.peaktestosterone.com/peak_testosterone_program.aspx
If you are on medications or have a medical condition, always check with your doctor first before making any lifestyle changes or taking new supplements.  And low testosterone is a medical condition.

sweet, maybe do a FAQ thread?
like how much does it cost?
do i have to do the injections myself?
do they send me the TRT supplies?
do they take insurance?
can I just outside labs to get the lab work done?

It's already done.  Look at the link at the top of this thread p. 1.

Essentially yes. You would also need to submit documentation of a physical exam performed by a licensed healthcare practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA). This PE must be no older than 3 months at time of consult. One other minor detail, a licensed pharmacy sends you the meds, not us directly, but yes all supplies are sent by Fedex/UPS. Our patients find the arrangement to be convenient, efficient, and affordable.

Please contact their office:  the web site is in Dr. Saya's signature.  Dr. Saya is very booked right now, but he now has a PA and NP that he has trained as well if you want to go that route.

Posted with permission from the poster in Nelson Vergel's Facebook group. I find all testimonials that I receive inspiring, but found this one particularly heartwarming. It's a reminder of the significance and importance of our area of medicine and what a difference we ALL (also members on the forums assisting people) make in people's lives.

With Defy, they do not accept any insurance nor do they have someone on staff to do coding or billing for insurance.  It is all 100% out of pocket expense.  I have a health savings account or, "flex plan" to use as payment for all services and test scripts.
