arimidex raises free t??
« on: August 24, 2016, 03:08:19 am »
I had some astounding results after starting HCG & Arimidex. I even waited 2 extra days more  then normal to get blood drawn.

Total Testosterone = 33.6 nmol/L (7.6 - 31.4)  = 965 ng/dl
Free Testosterone = 720 pmol/L (196 - 636) = 196 pg/mL
Estradiol - 104 pmol/L (<224 pmol/L) (not sensitive test) Was 198 last test
Estradiol Sensitive was 25 about two months ago

Protocol = 50mg Cypionate 2x week (I sometimes give my self a little extra - 55 or 60 mg)
                300iu HCG m/w/f
                .25 Arimidex 2 x per week

Can Arimidex raise free testosterone a lot because its way higher than pre HCG/Arimidex?

In theory a small bump would be expected. Arimidex reduces the amount of testosterone converted to estradiol, so with all else equal, testosterone, both free and total, should rise a little.

However,  I think you're just seeing that directly-measured free testosterone is very noisy. I've seen mine jump all over the place. For something more stable and reliable, measure SHBG along with total testosterone and use a calculator to find free testosterone.
I am not a medical doctor; any suggestions are meant to be discussed with your doctor.
Age: 60, Ht: 5'10", Wt: 154 lbs
Protocol: 4.5 mg T propionate subQ qd, 20 mcg GnRH subQ 5.25x/d, 6.25 mg DHEA bid, 12.5 mg enclomiphene q4d
Approximate levels (peak): TT: 700 ng/dL, E2: 30 pg/mL, DHEA-S: 300 ug/dL, SHBG: 30 nMol/L

Sounds good. I'm due to get my e2 sensitive test soon. I'll get SHBG Along with it.
