Why Just the Upper Body?
« on: March 31, 2013, 04:16:08 am »

Sounds smart.  One thing that kills me are all the guys with monstrous arms and chests in my gym and toothpick calves.  It kind of looks like the Tasmanian Devil...

2 reasons you see huge arms/thin calves

1  guys do what works...big arms/chest attract females..
----size of legs dont attract them or don't matter

2 guys with big upper body wear PANTS that covers their lower body
I wear pants  which look like the ones below  8)

So the jelqing really worked out, eh?

No, it's not that females don't care about the legs or butt.  I think there's a different explanation:  laziness!

Legs and gluts are much harder workouts.  I don't know about you guys, but I'll get nauseous quite often doing these even with my semi-chicken legs.  They just figure, "I can always wear sweat pants and turn the lights out in the bedroom" I guess...

yes, laziness indeed...and if it mattered,  guys would do it.females dont care, so it doesnt matter...I've never heard a girl reject a guy because he has "Chicken" legs, but maybe it happens....I have really cut legs, they are not chicken legs at all.... yet I've never had a girl put her hands on my thigh and comment how hard it is....my chest. yes...
it's that simple

Females are the ultimate diplomats, aren't they?

No, both genders try to look at the positives of a person since we all have negatives, eh?  But I have talked to a number of females who have commented on how weird guys look with just the upper body developed.

the women are lying to  you. or they justify why they mucked the guy with a huge upper and small lower body

females aren't going to reject a man cause he has a huge upper body and a small lower body
Ive talked to guys who say that they dont care what a girl looks like, they only care about her personality,  yet, Ive never seen them with ugly, yet smart/funny girls..hmmm, its like people don't do what they say or they say things that are PC and do whatever they want(insert politician joke)

when you workout, do you see or hear guys flexing legs or talking about leg pressing 1000kgs?
guys dont care about legs, and girls dont either
wear pants and buff up the upper body

Heh my wife was scoping my butt last night, and told me wow its getting nice.

Now if the legs would just catch up!

I deliberately wear shorts in the gym so I'm forced to look at my legs.  Wife hit them with a tape measure and I have gained an inch this month on the upper part of my thigh so yay squats!

I know cardio can be a bad word around here, but I love getting out on a bike and riding 30-40miles.  Once I got down under 200lbs I started running 5-6 miles every couple days.   My legs look great for my age and I do gym work outs that support strength and endurance.

Not that it matters, but are you a butt man?  Well, a lot of guys are and so are some women.

Let me put it another way:  there's a reason that women LOVE going to ballet.  You think it's the dancing.  No way buddy:  it's the fact that you got guys that could bend rebar with their butt cheeks in stuff thinner than spandex and it's all culturally acceptable.  They're not looking at the triceps or chest of this guy...

nice topic change, from huge lowerbody-->ass 8)

I find a women's butt to be a great indicator of her overall health, similar to a mans stomach.
so instead of talking about legs, we are talking about butt?

I know they might both be considered "lower body", but when I was posting against huge legs for a man, which is what we were discussing..I was not at all saying women don't like a man's ass
they dont like a HUGE ass, but a tight ass is great on a man or woman
a huge ass like so many celebrities flaunt is not attractive or deserible.....heck, Im good with a large B or C cup on the female, don't need cow udders anytime soon.

as for ballet, I have no clue, I thought women liiked it cause they saw a flat chested women(read, women they likely have more endowments, therefor feel superior)  being touched and handled(lifted,  spun/etc) by a muscular male
pretty much softcore porn

Well, theories abound on this one, so I'm willing to put yours on the top 10 list.

I might be wrong, but legs are harder to build than upper body.. we walk on our legs all the time.. could be wrong

NO dude in my gym has huge muscley legs, in fact I've only ever seen huge legs like twice in my lifetime

Some of the steroid guys where I go do have pretty massive legs.  But I think the reason is this:

If you look at the weight/strength floor space of the gym, 4/5ths of it is all upper body equipment.  The reason?  Guys just don't use the leg stuff as much.  In the gyms I go to at least, it's MUCH harder to get on a bench than it is to get on hack squat machine or Smith squat rack.  You can do leg work any time day or night, but just try to find a preacher curl bar during peak hours - it ain't gonna happen...
