I have low testosterone (300ish) but I'm constantly horny. How is that possible? I am having erection issues and have been doing this rebooting thing for a long time. It wasn't until the last couple of months that I have consistent libido though.
That tough to answer, but a comment is that lots of guys are completely symptomless in the 300's. Some guys, like myself, were miserable in the 300's and still others do just fine. So it's really hard to answer that, especially without knowing where you were in the past.
Now I do have a comment: I think it's a mistake to not get any erections for an extended period of time. The penis needs oxygenation and so if you are not getting morning erections, then you may find this leads to venous leakage:http://www.peaktestosterone.com/venous_leakage
Also, keep in mind that libido is only one of the Big Three symptoms that are best predictive of low testosterone:http://www.peaktestosterone.com/Hypogonadism_Testosterone
The other two are morning erections and erectile dysfunction. Of course, you wouldn't know about the latter I assume due to the reboot. But if you are not getting morning erections, then this is a sign that your testosterone may to be an issue. Discuss with a physicisn.
Other common symptoms are depression, anxiety, "mental fog", etc.
Sorry to write so much, but there are so many issues here:
--You really need to get tested for osteopenia, anemia and estradiol with testosterone that low as well. These are very serious conditions obviously and your testosterone can lead to that.
One of my concerns with the reboot movement is that they do not emphasize enough getting a endocrine and physical workup. I'll bet that a substantial percentage of men who feel they need to reboot actually endothelial or endocrinological issues and are making things much worse by ignoring them during a multimonth reboot process. Again, I think it's great to get off of any addiction, but you need to address underlying medical conditions.
So bottom line: it's good working with a doc and hopefully he/she is a good one...
