HCG Dosage with HRT?
« on: June 10, 2013, 12:58:10 am »
Its been two days. I havent noticed anything yet. Also, I was thinking of continuing the HCG as I have a months worth. I was gonna lower the dose of HCG from 500IU to 250IU 3 times a week.

I assume you're thinking to make sure you avoid high E2, right?  Well, that sounds pretty reasonable.

Of course, with HCG Monotherapy the dosages tend to be higher.  But look at these comments from some of our seasoned posters:

JackAndy took 500 IU 2X/week: https://www.peaktestosterone.com/forum/index.php?topic=752.0

h2878 got 250 IU: https://www.peaktestosterone.com/forum/index.php?topic=1245.0

FightLowT said 100-300 IU 2X/week

So you seem to be right in the ballpark. Of course, go with whatever your doc says - I was just giving some context and perspective.

If you are on medications or have a medical condition, always check with your doctor first before making any lifestyle changes or taking new supplements.  And low testosterone is a medical condition.

Its kinda funny (well sort of) but my PCP, the one that gave me the script for testosterone-c, doesnt know that I am still on HCG and the HRT doctor, the one that gave me the script for HCG, doesnt know that I am now taking testosterone-c.

The HRT doctor will find out in a couple of weeks that I am on Testosterone injections because I am using his office to get the blood work done. I am using the HRT doctor to get the blood work done because my PCP doesnt want me to look at (or know) what my testosterone level is at. My pcp wants me to go by how I feel not by what number I am at. I agree with him to a point but I still want to know.
Is that wrong?

Also, I am only taking the HCG to maintain testicular function. I will cease taking it after I find out if my PCP will keep me on Test-c. Right now the test-c is a trial to see how I feel. Lately Ive been feeling pretty f'n good!
Sorry if the above is confusing.

Well, there can be a big placebo effect in some of this.  And I do admire him for actually considering symptoms.  But legally, of course, he can't keep test results from you as far as I know...

So the question is, (and yes I want an opinion) if I am feeling better should I get the blood work done before I see my PCP or just wait?
