I went to my dr. complaining that I don't have energy, I get fatigued, I cannot lose weight, I cannot concentrate on anything (they diagnosed me with ADD) and I just don't feel like me anymore. So, we went through some tests and then only two things that came back low and out side of the normal ranges where vitamin D (this is very low 15) and my testosterone (320). I just read how vitamin D and testosterone are linked. My question is will taking vitamin D (Dr. has me taking 50,000 IU once a week and 5000 daily) help increase my testosterone levels to a more normal level? I am asking this because the dr. blew me off when I asked him about my low testosterone levels and what the normal levels for my age where. Oh, I forgot I am 30 and I am overweight by about 20lbs to 25lbs. I know this is not a medical advice forum but I am asking if I am nuts for wanting to see another Dr. or maybe a specialist. I am at the end of my rope. Thanks.
Edit: This is my first test, but the Dr. didn't order another test. I have been diagnosed with a varicocele (at 19) and it has flared up. I took the test in the morning around 9:30. I don't really sleep that much (I get about 5 to 7 hours a night, mostly on the 5 part). I have been struggling with depression for bout 7 years now, I get better at times but mostly it is the 600 lbs elephant in my brain that I don't talk about). I do not have issues with sex or getting my boys to work. I just don't enjoy it, and I don't really think about sex a lot or ever. Sorry this is long but I was reading over other post and though I would try and answer some of the questions that might be asked.
