This is very true. We lose fat in our face as we age and this is part of what contributes to looking older. So one of the few good things one can say about being overweight it that it compensates for this lack of volume in our face due to aging.
Now, in the ol' bod, we can compensate for this effect (and skin sag) by putting on muscle mass and "tightening everything up". But there is no real way to do that on your face.
So is there an answer? Well, there is an easy, relatively inexpensive answer that most guys don't want to hear: filler. Many guys think this is "feminine" and an affront to all that is manly. Well, in the case of filler, I think it's a weak argument. Filler is pretty inexpensive, can actually heal the underlying subcutaneous tissues and has no downtime. And it can almost instantly take 10+ years off of your face.
So the way I see it is you can be "manly" and "macho" and look like hell if you want, or you can bite the bullet and spend fifteen minutes getting a quick filler done if you need it. No one needs to know.
And I'll ask this question: which one is going to get you more action in the bedroom. If you ask me, anything reasonable that makes you look younger and more attractive to your partner (and improves self-image without spending a fortune) is the "manly" option.
