Turmeric/Curcumin and DHT
« on: July 22, 2017, 02:31:50 am »
I read that Curcumin can lower DHT.

Is this a potential no-no then? I was told to take it as an anti inflammatory but this always concerns me.

It would probably only lower DHT a bit if it does at all.  However, if you are low DHT, I guess that could be an issue.  More significant issues, especially as the weeks and months roll by are the following:

a) It can effect ferritin levels, so I would pull that before and after.

b) It is a telomerase inhibitor - not necessarily from the anti-aging standpoing.

If you are on medications or have a medical condition, always check with your doctor first before making any lifestyle changes or taking new supplements.  And low testosterone is a medical condition.
