* We all know what kind of "food" is offered on a daily basis in the United States. Burger joints, pizza parlors, soft drinks, snack foods, etc..Is this what our ancestors consumed? I think not. Food additives and preservatives are integrated into 90% of products found in today's grocery stores. If this is not enough most of these foods contain gmo's courtesy from companies like monsanto ( I don't capitalize their name because they don't deserve that simple respect). Simply put, if corn has been genetically altered to contain its own pesticides to thwart off insects, what does that do for humans who consume it? This is just one example among thousands of which we are unaware. These foods have been designed to grow when inadequate nutrients are found within the soil and when those nutrients are not necessary for growth to occur they are not going to be found within the end crop people consume and leads to nutrient deficiencies.
The beef industry has been pumping cattle for years with hormones and antibiotics. Watch the movie Food Inc. and you will see that these cows do not graze on grass like nature intended. They walk knee deep in grassless fields made up of their own fecal matter and mud. When cows can no longer walk due to illnesses they are called "downer cows" and the beef industry has no restraint in using fork lifts to push these animals into the slaughter houses when they are too unhealthy to walk to them. Finaplix is a common drug used in the cattle industry to promote quick lean body mass increases whch is injected into the cows as a pellet. Another name for it is trenbolone. Not surprisingly it is a common drug used in bodybuilding circles for its drastic results. It is a highly supressive drug to the HPTA and causes sterility and prolactin increases among users. How then if these metabolites are being administred on the cells, tissues, and endocrine systems of cattle are they not going to be effected on the endocrine systems of humans who consume these animals. I absolutely gurantee that more than"trace" amounts of this compound are being consumed by people who eat the flesh of these animals and as a result our endocrine systems are being knocked out of balance.
Plastics are everywhere. What is commonly found in plastics? Bisphenol a...Read about it if you don't already know. It's an oestrogen and has been time and time again shown to be an endocrine disrupter. It's in the bottles of water you drink, the canned vegetables you eat, its everywhere.
Let's take a brief look at medications. So if you are already depressed due to low sex drive, mood disorders, low energy, and everything else that goes hand in hand with low testosterone, let's just go ahead and take something that will make the body unhealthier and mask the thought processes which are necessary to be aware of a problem. Here are where SSRI anti depressants come into play. They are harmless right? Because my doctor wants to put me on one and he seems to think this will be the solution to my problems. After all they are FDA approved so what harm can they do? I mean the FDA is clearly looking out for our best interests arent they? SSRI's are known to supress HpTa activity and lower sex drive in males and have shown to lower libido in women as well. I know because I took zoloft for one year and will never take it again. During that time i was 21 years old and I really did not notice the difference in sex drive mainly because i was not having sex at the time. Maybe I would have been having sex if i were not taking the zoloft...

..In my mind i thought everything was ok except for the fact that it was strating to become increasingly more difficult to ejaculate. Serotonin is vitally important for the maintenance and fulfillment of pleasure centers within the brain while doing things that promote pleasurable sensations. SSRI's alter brain chemistry. Look up the effects SSRI's have on HPTA function in males. It isn't pretty.... Some men recover their HPTA function to within baseline values upon cessation of treatment while others are not so fortunate. I think it depends on the duration of usage as well.
*In summary it's almost as if we are being assaulted from every conceivable angle as far as what is most effective at lowering testosterone levels rather than raising them. It has been shown in men that testosterone promotes happiness and well being and in turn happiness promotes yet more testosterone and the cycle continues onward. I strongly believe that so many of us are unhappy from a sociological stand-point with work, relationships, daily life. etc.. that this is causing a phenomenol drop-off in reward/fulfillment processes within the brians of men which contribute to happiness and healthy testosterone levels. If this were not enough then couple it with the enviromental factors of low nutrional indexed foods, toxins/pestides, and chemicals which work together as a potent cocktail or "perfect" storm to wreck havoc on optimal sex hormone levels crucial for optimal health.
