Trying to get a feel for the effectiveness of POM from other users.  There are lots of POM threads now so I was hoping each of you could contribute your experience to this one so we can get some statistics together.  Ideally, you wouldn't want to vote in the poll until you have tried POM on a daily basis (4-8oz) for at least a few weeks if not a month.

*Cured my intermittent ED which started at ~35 years old by adding in nitrate-containing foods DAILY (arugula, beets, romaine, spinach) and drinking occasional POM juice. Interestingly, I have seen no changes in cholesterol/LDL/HDL or any other typical blood parameters.

EH, how much POM do you consume a day and how do you spread it out?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I don't have a preset practice or time for it.  I'll drink it with meals, post-meals, but rarely pre-meals because I don't want to spoil my appetite.  I generally drink between 4-8oz per day though, and I always drink it watered down heavily.  The juice is pretty strong, and for me the flavor is much more delicious when watered down at least 1:4.

I have not yet tested my blood levels of anything after I started drinking POM (4 months ago), but I very much look forward to doing that as soon as I can.  For me the results are definitely related to POM.  It is the only thing I have consistently changed/added in those 4 months.  There is nothing else that makes an obvious difference for me, except for tart cherry extract (Swansons) for arthritis issues (thumb), but I have taken that for 2 years now, and it had zero effect on my ED, but tremendous relief of thumb/hand joint pain.

For me it is very important that it is POM and not another brand.  I had no effect from the Vitacost Pomegranate Extract, and Peak had poor results from the Trader Joes pomegranate juice.  It is not that I like POM more, just that it is the only proven juice that I have encountered so far.

It is important to note the time to effect for POM.  Mine was about 1 week.  My friend's was a few weeks.  Another user Golfboy recently wrote about his POM experience taking over a month to be notable.  So patience is unfortunately required.

So about half the guys get a nice benefit it looks like.  That's not bad for drinking a class of juice that may clear out your arteries a bit too!

If you drink it on an empty stomach (mixed with water for palatibility) first thing in the morning it really ramps up the morning sex.  It seems to work very, very quickly that way.

I drink 8-16 oz on a day.  I just think its refreshing.  But it DOES work for erection quality for me.  I also think the POM brand is best, but I have recently been downing some discounted Bolthouse brand.  Seems good.

Thanks for mentioning the Bolthouse brand.  Ideally, we'd like to find several products that work well, especially because POM is not cheap at 8oz per day and above.  Keep us up-to-date if the Bolthouse brand continues to work for you.

Interesting that research found PDE5 inhibitors (Cialis/Viagra/etc) to be about 70% effective for erection improvement, whereas it found POM about 50% effective for erection improvement, which matches the current poll findings!

My issues aren't as extreme as many of the other insightful and beloved men on here...but here's my experience.
This 'POM' juice sounds expensive...can it be any better than the juice of the actual fruit?...they can be bought very cheaply here 1.50 each from any UK supermarket.

I took pomegranate juice for the FIRST time on Monday 10th March 2014...from the actual fruit itself, just one whole one...blended and then strained through a nut milk bag, around 10.00am.

Tuesday morning 7.00am...woke up with an absolutely huge rock hard erection from shaft to helmet...bone hard and we all know there's no bones in the human male penis.
I know my body, what else I'm taking and my general energy and stress levels, so it can ONLY be the effects of the pomegranate juice in this instance. Don't underestimate it gentlemen.
I'm just over 40 years old.

Good for you!  My first experience with pomegranate was the same, fresh-squeezed juice at home, and the effects were noticeable quite quickly.  POM is expensive, but pomegranates are not easy to find in the stores around here unless it is late autumn/early winter.

It seems that pomegranate works very well for young and middle aged men who are just experiencing the first throes of ED.  I would guess that is because we are experiencing the initial symptoms of vascular disease.

If those of you who voted "no" or "not sure" could write about your brief symptom history that would be really insightful for identifying the type of people who can be helped with POM juice.
