Very interesting
as I take garlic because it helps lower atherosclerosis
IE
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/459102
Onion, garlic, and experimental atherosclerosis.
Sainani GS, Desai DB, Natu MN, Katrodia KM, Valame VP, Sainani PG.
Abstract

Forty-two healthy male albino rabbits weighing around 1 Kg were divided into 4 groups. Group I (8)- fed on normal stock diet, Group II (8)- fed on stock diet plus cholesterol (0.5 gm in 5 ml of olive oil). Group III (15)- received stock diet plus cholesterol plus garlic (0.25 gm) juice. Group IV (11)- received stock diet plus cholesterol plus onion (2.5 gm) juice. The animals were closely observed and followed for 16 weeks. Approximately every 4 weeks, blood samples were collected for estimation of various parameters (S. cholesterol, S. triglycerides, S. lipoproteins, S. phospolipids, and fibrinolytic activity). At the end of experiment, animals were sacrificed and degree of aortic atherosclerosis was graded (grade 0 to 4) in different groups and compared. Experimental study revealed that both garlic and onion (garlic more than onion) had significant effect in inhibiting the rise in S. cholesterol, S. triglycerides, S. beta lipoproteins, and S. phospolipids and significant effect in enhancing the fibrinolytic activity. The beta: alpha ratio was altered favourably and the ratio was kept close to normal. As regards the degree of aortic atherosclerosis as seen on post mortem, it was significantly less in garlic and onion group when compared with pure cholesterol group.

so I used to want to take garlic pills, but in trying to find a garlic pill that was shown by Consumer Labs to be potent and safe, I didnt find one I could buy where I live,
so Instead I buy Peeled Garlic from Sams Club, 5lbs/~$4.5

If I keep it i the bag and in the fridge, it will get moldy  by the time I am halfway through it,
so I buy grapes from sames club which come in huge 3-5lb plastic containers that have small holes.
I keep the garlic in those, and turn them  whenever I open the fridge and the garlic is staying firm and non-moldy(dry)
I eat 5-10 cloves a day, I drink it with Pom and some spoonful vitamin C(not asboric, calcium)  and I swear,   15-30 mins later, I am feeling good, just a burst of energy, I think that's NO?  I'm not sure what it is, but it's nice

Good morning!

Yep, figures I'd forget to include that info when I try to do a quick post from work....

Duration: Just over 9 weeks now, started first week in February 2014. Took my time, in three weeks got to 1.5 grams
per day of the l-Arginine and the l-Citrulline. No gastric disturbances or blah feeling.

Coincidentally, I had liver blood panel and complete CBC panel done in early March for my annual physical, came back completely
normal. So, good proof that the supplements caused me no problems.

WHY ?: I decided on these supplements for enhancement of my erections, both morning wood and when I am with my
lover.

Also, in the morning after taking the supplements, about 30 minutes later I get this wonderful wake-up burst of feeling
really fine. Morning brain-fog is gone, just have elevated feelings of well-being.

Now, when we are together on the weekends, the combination of the supplements and vardenafil is awesome. One vardenafil
in the morning, and my erection is rock hard and long lasting.

Results I experience:

- reliable and hard morning wood

- excellent interaction with vardenafil. I stay very hard and erect for her, and she really has her fun

- elevated good feelings both psychologically and physically

Well, that wasn't as short as I wanted to make the post, but, there you have it.

Y'All have a good weekend, be safe! Cheers! - Sam

After taking pycnogenol (Trader Joes - 3 tablets - 75mg total) for a week now I have noticed a marked increase in sexual desire and aggressiveness.  I have also noticed that my morning erection frequency has increased.  I don't notice better erections overall though so far.  I get aroused much more easily by sexy female images and interactions with females.  Pycnogenol is shown to increase testosterone in some studies so perhaps that is the responsible mechanism.

If I could vote again, I would include pycnogenol in my vote alongside POM.  Granted, it has only been one week, which means it could easily just be placebo effect, but the aggressiveness is very unusual for me so I doubt it is placebo.  In my experience, Grape Seed Extract and Pycnogenol are not alike at all.  I noticed none of these effects from Grape Seed Extract.
Age 40
5'8" 145lbs

*Cured my intermittent ED which started at ~35 years old by adding in nitrate-containing foods DAILY (arugula, beets, romaine, spinach) and drinking occasional POM juice. Interestingly, I have seen no changes in cholesterol/LDL/HDL or any other typical blood parameters.

Hi Mr. bzarfas,

Good Day to everyone!

Good questions, Sir! I shall answer as best I can, gotta work from memory on how I was doing
before I started. I'll answer them in order:

Did I have morning wood prior to this regime?

   - Yes, but I would have to say only 2 or 3 times a week, no pattern which I could discern,

Did I feel good physically and mentally?

   - Yes, on both counts fortunately. Really, nothing about which I would complain. Now, I have
noticed I drop off to sleep easier. And, just background noise, I just seem a bit perkier.

Intensity of orgasms?

   - Prior to this, fortunately I was able to orgasm, and the orgasm was very pleasurable, and in
some cases, intense. I can say now that my orgasms are consistently intense and remind me of
my thirties when I was in great physical condition. Sometimes I'll have a second orgasm after
we nap. Not reliable, just happens and we are both surprised.

I shall also add, that my desire/psychological need for sex has really gone off the charts. I just
feel more ready for sex, and it is really a blast.

Health has gotten better and better since I met her, she is my match in sex drive and enjoyment.

I am not taking any meds for heart, diabetes, weight, cholesterol. Do use inhaler for mild asthma.
Do use generic vardenafil for my ED.

* Job hasn't changed, it is still challenging and fun almost 6 years later.

* Weight hasn't changed much in years, still 155 to 160 pounds. Haven't been over 160 in probably
30 plus years. I'm coming up to my 62nd B'day.

* Relationship is better and better each day. 5 and a half years in a tightly bound, committed intimate
  relationship with a wonderful woman.

* Sexual frequency is as good as we can make it with our schedules. Now, on vacations, well....
  that's another whole story.

Hope this helps you, Mr. Bzarfas.
