Is it promoting estrogen?  Or is it AI?

You're probably thinking of letrozole (Femara), which is an AI.

Tamoxifen blocks estradiol in certain tissues.  The steroid guys use it to reduce gyno all the time.  And, when I was getting a little gyno, my clinic wanted to put me on this.

In other words, Novaldex does not have an affect on E2 levels by themselves?

Well, I was just saying it definitely won't lower them.  I don't know that much about dosing, but it's a SERM kind of like Clomid.  So, if you're HPT axis is pretty in fact, it can raise both testosterone and estradiol.  Let me see if I can dig up something for you.

Here check this out:

http://europepmc.org/abstract/MED/640052/searchId.do?chebiId=CHEBI%3A23965&viewTermLineage=true&structureView=image
"Hormonal effects of an antiestrogen, tamoxifen, in normal and oligospermic men"

" In fact, prolonged treatment (6 weeks) with tamoxifen significantly increased the LH response to LHRL. Treatment of patients with "idiopathic" oligospermia for 6 to 9 months resulted in a significant increase in gonadotropin, testosterone, and estradiol levels."

Kwn, if you're going to try Tamoxifen, you may want to get expert guidance on the potential for liver issues, per this link..

http://suppversity.blogspot.com/search?q=tamoxifen

Clomid apparently does not have that issue

My problem appears to be low E2 level, despite normal TT.  It is my understanding that Novaldex and Clomid both act on E2 receptors, w/o affecting E2 levels.  As such, these are useless for me.

I am considering taking estrogen supplement, much like menopausal women, to raise E2.  I know it goes against whole TRT philosophy, but I have to battle the symptoms, and test numbers point towards low E2.  I cannot throw in more T, hence I need to throw in E2.

Another question: I have insomnia/fucked up sleep pattern.  What is it a sign of (which hormone imbalance)?

Understandable.  But assuming Test is at level, what are the other reasons?

High evening cortisol will do it.
