I do not take 2.5 cialis daily although I'm going to start doing exactly that this month in hopes of getting off PDE5s entirely in time
For the last 5 years or more I have used 25-50mg viagra or 5-10mg Levitra as needed
Both have now become hit or miss but I refuse to up the dose beyond half the recommended as I am under 40.
Cialis works at 4-7mg or even less if I use it consecutive days.
I have chronic prostatitis and sometimes have normal erectile function for days at a time, and at other times don't have erections at all without drugs. It depends on the prostatitis, although I do believe there are possibly other hormonal factors at play which I am pursuing a resolution to. My biggest problems are possible dependence and resistance, which likely occurred because for several years I just took medium to large doses before sex and didn't think much about other variables that would help erectile function, nocturnal erections, etc.
The dose makes the poison is an expression.... It means don't take too much (or too often)
You don't want to be under 40 and legitimately questioning if you can get hard without drugs, or wondering what will happen if they stop working- that's the position I'm in and it's no fun even though I have regular sex.
Doctors have also told me that these drugs should theoretically work forever- but if they are wrong it's my problem not theirs. Theres at least one person on here that used PDE5s regularly from a young age and is now in a situation where they don't work and nothing else does. Plenty of reasons to be careful.
