About two week's ago I said that I had to wait for an appointmment to see my doctor for the result's of blood test to if my doubling my prescription from 40 mg to 80 mg twice a day had made any dramatic changes in the level of my Testosterone.
I saw him on thursday last, and he informed me that I had increased from 10.5 to 12.6 on the scale, I was not sure what he would say about continuing the increase without consulting him , but it was a positive visit, and he listened to me when I told him that I had researched certain Urologist's and their recent updating, or recent finding's, on the subject of Testosterone level's now considered appropriate for men in my age group.
I said (causiously) that it might be considered OK for men in their 40's, 50's and 60's to have a level of 15 , but for an older men(like me) it is now considered, by many specialist's, better for us to be in the 15 to 25 range to accomplish our goal's .. so I begin the new prescription this coming Monday....will keep you apprised.
Panhandle.....
He was thoughtful for a moment, and them suggested that he prescribe 100 mg twice a day for the next month or two.
