What T Level is Too High?
« on: July 11, 2014, 10:05:41 pm »
I've been on T Cyp injections (weekly) now for just over a month and my T has gone from 300's to 1300's.  My Doc wants to lower the Cyp from 100mg per week to 75mg.

I'm amazed at how quickly it bounced up, but am concerned about lowering my dosage.  Would it make sense to lower my intake?  Is 1300 too high?

Thanks!

Steve

That is pretty high, I think going down to 75mg probably wont hurt your levels that much.  How do you feel at 1300?

I feel fantastic!  :)  Maybe I'll drop it down by 25% and see how things go!

I have the same sensitivity to Cypionate.  It might take a few weeks to find your sweet spot.  I was over 1300 mg on 40 mg E3D (which amounts to about 90 mg per week), and when I tried drying myself out by going to 30 mg E4D for a few weeks, my T level dropped to around 430.  So now I'm trying 35 mg E3D subq, and it's feeling like my T is soaring (more because of the change from IM to subq).  This is all why testing every few weeks to a month is essential to finding your sweet spot.

1200 is physiological and so, from what I have seen, even the bolder HRT clinics will not let you go above that for your peak.

But, again, I look at things different, i.e. it's not really a number but rather the fact that you want to take as little as possible to feel good and avoid side effects.  I outline that here:

If you are on medications or have a medical condition, always check with your doctor first before making any lifestyle changes or taking new supplements.  And low testosterone is a medical condition.
