I noticed that someone else had venous leakage and wanted to put my story out there as well. I am 29 and healthy, not overweight, and take no drugs. For the past few years I have had difficulty maintaining Erections. It has gotten worse over the past year. I was taking mild doses of Viagra with some success and after time it did nothing. I would get hard, and then lose it.
I started going to different doctors and had a Doppler Ultrasound a few years back and it came back normal. About a year ago I had another (because i told the Uro that Viagra is not effective) and was diagnosed with Venous leak. Long story short, I lost my erections quite easily. Most literature points to Venous leak from scarring, injury, etc. Had my T levels checked and they have floated from as low as 259 up to 420. 2 times they were about 350. All doctors said im still within Normal range and said its all in my head. Btw, I RARELY wake up with an erection (maybe 1x/week).
Finally found literature that said venous leak can be a metabolic issue so I did a cycle of test and my erections improved about 90% after 7 weeks. Had my levels checked and they were 1250! My doctor said I overdid it. I can say that HRT was effective since I began waking up with normal erections.
anyway, the T worked but I dont know what to do long term. I am young and dont want to have these problems or take viagra, even though it stopped working. I already lost a relationship b/c of problems in the bedroom. But at least something is doing the job for now.
