We don't seem to be able to buy Neo40 in the UK, or at least I don't see it advertised on any site. It does strike me though that Nathan Bryan gives us plenty of clues as to what might be in Neo40, and it wouldn't surprise me if the ingredients list covers most of the active ingredients- I'm guessing citrulline is the top ingredient. I would even posit that his reticence in revealing all centres around the fact that he has no additional mystery X factor ingredient. Of course success could all be in the blend of ingredients.
As he points out Neo40 could work synergistically with other compounds known to enhance sexual function. I note that one of the potential pathways that ginseng assists is in the release of acetylcholine, which ties in with the waking spine-penis erections connection. Of the studies I found when putting ginseng and acetylcholine into the Pub Med website search engine this was the most interesting:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16819173"Effect of SA1, a herbal formulation, on sexual behavior and penile erection".
"There was an overall increase in the copulatory behavior parameters in the SA1-treated rats, which was reflected by a decrease in the mount and intromission latencies and an increase in the ejaculation latency and mount frequency. SA1 significantly increased the ratio of the intracavernous pressure to mean arterial pressure. In vitro, SA1 significantly enhanced the relaxation responses to acetylcholine. These results suggest that SA1 improves the sexual activity and erectile function".
Here are the ingredients in SA1 Korean Red Ginseng, soybean, Tribulus terrestris, Fructus Rubi, Fructus Lycii, Semen Cuscutae, Dioscorea Rhizome, Fructus Corni and Fructus Crataegi)
Now here is the interesting connection from my point of view. My Chinese TCM doctor when I suggested we go down the spine with acupuncture said if that was the case then I needed a change of pill and dispensed the following herbal combination Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan- and the ingredients?
"Fructus Lycii, Semen Cuscutae, Fructus Rubi, Semen Plantaginis, Fructus Shisandrae Chinensis"
The other herbal mix he gave me is called Yao Zhui Bi Tong Wan and it contains 11 herbs including "Fructus Lycii". That basically covers alot of the berbs in SA1 except for Soybean, Ginseng, Tribulus terrestris, Dioscorea Rhizome and Fructus Crategi". 4 out of 9 is more than a coincidence. Of course Tribulus Terrestris is already a well known testosterone "stimulant".
Now I have only had 3 sessions on the new "meridian" and I have been very lax in taking the full dose of pills- mainly because the alternative pills never worked in the past- but this research will encourage me to give it fuller attention. However I look forward tentatively to an
"increase in ejaculation latency and mount frequency". Particularly the mount frequency part
