Offering very complex solutions for a guy with a t level of 86 guys... you don't need a fecal transplant.  Start with trt.

Seriously. The situation seems desperate enough to warrant TRT right away. Im not even sure if its worth looking into stuff to avoid TRT like hcg or a serm

TRT could be a life changer/saver for ya

100 percent my point.  We are talking female levels of test herr... this isn't like 250.  It's 86...

I hope it is a lifechanger for me but at the moment my darn insurance is taking their sweet time to approve the prescription. I dropped off the prescription at the pharmacy 2 weeks ago! Hopefully this week I will get the approval. Right now its just a waiting game.

Even if they don't approve it, testosterone does not have to be expensive.  Both compounded creams and cypionate and quite reasonable.

Ok so I just got back my latest lab results. I am scared about these numbers.

Keep in mind I am on 2 pumps of androgel per day AND 75 mcg of levothyroxine per day.

Thyroid Peroxidase Ab   0 - 33 IU/mL   14

TSH   0.27 - 4.20 uIU/mL           2.44

Free T4   0.9 - 1.7 ng/dL   1.3

T3   80 - 200 ng/dL                   77

Testosterone,Free LC MS/MS   9 - 30 ng/dL   4.7

Testosterone,LC-MS/MS   240 - 950 ng/dL   224

I tested a TT of 326 but with a range of 300 - 1080 ng/dL at the same exact lab a week prior to starting androgel. what in the heck is this crap?????

On top of this all my T3 is absolute crap too. The only other time it was tested was in June of 2011 and it was 139ng/dL.

I am going to have a phone conversation with my endo today. Any suggestions I should steer my doc towards? Is dont think its even worth going to 4 pumps of androgel. also would the Armour thyroid med be a good choice seeing this.

Yeah, looks like the thyroid is struggling.  That low T3 makes me wonder if you have an issue here:

I dunno what kind of doc puts someone on two pumps of androgel, that is just enough to shut your natural production down and not give you any extra.

Keep in mind on 4 pumps of T-Gel I was at a 1000, on 3 I was at 500.  The point of natural suppression is what you are teetering on.  Ask to go to 4...I think that is the starting dosage anyway.

Also, ask to add in a small amount of t3 (generic is fine) to you synthroid dose.

Great catch.  It's quite common to need a T4/T3 combo to feel better.

Usually this isn't an issue with a young guy, but you might want to research a bit the fact that some of us just can't digest fructose and/or lactose.  They're both quite common.

Yeah thats why im on the Low FODMAP diet. Swiss cheese has no lactose and the fruits i am eating are very low fructose foods. The test for SIBO is a hydrogen breath test that will show if I am not digesting high FODMAP foods and/or have a bacterial overgrowth.

Ok so I just got back my latest lab results. I am scared about these numbers.
If its tsh then relax, i saw the same exact thing when my T got raised, just upped the dose of levothyroxine a bit to compensate, can either go up to 100mcg or use 75mcg one day and 100mcg the other day for an average 88mcg.

Quote
T3   80 - 200 ng/dL                   77
Is it total or free?

Quote
also would the Armour thyroid med be a good choice seeing this.
Maybe maybe not, its trial and error.
An alternative would be to cut down levothyroxine to 50mcg and add in 10mcg triiodthyronine in the morning, maybe 5mcg after 5-6 hours.

Due know that levothyroxine and triiodthyronine doesnt have the same effect, 10mcg triiodthyronine is roughly equal to 40mcg levothyroxine.

My TT on 3/3/15 was 326. so it decreased on androgel. that was my concern. also my Total T3 was low even being on levothyroxine. so I wonder how low it was b4 i started when my tsh was 4.4.

My endo just prescribed me a switch to 200mg of IM Test. and Cytomel.
