Hey there, this is my first post on the forum.
I'm probably one of the younger members here at 20 years old but I've been experiencing some health problems as of late that I believe are related to my vericocele. I would love to get some answers to them and possibly think about pursuing surgery.
My vericocele is only on the left side, but it is HUGE; it almost doubles the size of my testicle overall. I'm beginning to presume that it may be hindering my body's ability to produce sufficient amounts of testosterone. Reason being is that lately I've been experiencing some issues with chronic fatigue, general and social anxiety, lack of libido, and lack of motivation to do almost anything unless I absolutely have to. I used to never have any of these issues back before the vericocele was smaller or not there altogether.
For example, there will be days when I'm even too demotivated to simply take a shower or do my laundry.
I haven't tested my T levels yet but what would be an ideal level and what level would be a red flag?
I truly believe that this surgery will raise my T levels and my overall health as well. For some reason, like many others have stated, my urologist highly advised against getting the surgery unless I had significant pain and/or fertility problems, which I think is bullshit. I'm almost positive I have low T, but only a test will determine the truth I guess.
I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through with it? What were your experiences like?
