Dr. Larry Lipshultz, last I checked, was still recommending 500IU 3x per week along with testosterone. That's the highest I've seen from any doctor specializing in HRT, but that is certainly higher than most would recommend.
But it also depends on the Test dose, right ,Hydranted? In my opinion it is not the same to have ,let's say 70 mgs of test weekly than 100 mgs in this last one , maybe 1500 iu weekly could be a lot or I'm wrong ?
Yes for most men on TRT, 1500IU of hCG is a very hefty weekly dose. It's unnecessary to take that much unless the user doesn't respond to lower doses for one reason or another. It would be extremely rare for that much hCG to be needed.
HCG aromatizes into estradiol, and some guys are very sensitive to this type of aromatization. Men have reported over aromatization from very small/reasonable doses of hCG, so taking 1500IU definitely has the potential to create problems.
To answer your question, yes, a lower dose of testosterone would theoretically be "better" if high doses of hCG are used. If there's already significant aromatization from the hCG, there will still be the aromatization from the testosterone to take into account.
Most doctors don't use that approach for typical HRT though. If hCG is causing too much aromatization they usually just lower the dose of hCG, not the testosterone.
