Just wondering...in between the 2 extremes of NO erection at all and a firm hard erection that stands up on command like a teenager would have, there are some intermediate scenarios. For example, sometimes it's possible to get an erection with substantial manual stimulation and foreplay even though it doesn't pop up immediately. Are you describing an extreme situation or just partial ED? Re: SHBG, there is a study on fish oil being helpful. I'll have to find the link and post.

KWN sorry to hear about your disappointment with CLOMID, i am on 25mg on week 4 , I havent noticed anything exciting with my erections...i havent seen much change but  i have had blood tests done  recently (waiting for results)..and i will know whether Clomid did any wonders...but in the bedroom NO and directly on erections NO...life is still a struggle. trying to get an erection...but i am still hopeful...how long before CLOMID start showing signs ....maybe HCG ?

But i have to be patient...i Think FIXME also mentioned that CLOMID raised his T , but didnt improve his ED...what good is  high T if this doesnt  improve your erections.
PeakT  whats your take  on this ...should we be more patient  and stay on CLOMID or go up the next route HCG ?

Well, HCG Monotherapy has so few practitioners.  Here are a few guys comments:

Remember no one really knows the answer to your question as there have been no long term studies of either.  There's just very little data.

Update:

My PCP gave me RX for a pituitary MRI, since I did not respond to Clomid (my LH did not increase).  I suspected that results will come in negative - since my other pituitary hormones are ok, and I do not have classic tumor symptoms (headache and vision problems).  I went for MRi today, and got a call - everything seems to be normal of scan.  So, if I am secondary, then it is 'idiopatic'.  HRT doctor told me same thing - it is likely NOT a tumor, because it turns out to be the problem in minority of cases.  Most of the time the reason remains unknown.

Well don't fear, the treatment is going to be basically the same anyway; TRT.

True, with the exception that pituitary tumor has a potential to f you up in a variety of additional ways.

Wounded Lion had some comments on Clomid, but I split it out because I felt his situation was unique:
